Shoulders and Back

Exquisite Skin

Pampering our faces is relaxing and provided by many salons, spas, and medi-spas; treatments vary depending on individual needs. If you are prone to shoulders and back breakouts, stop hiding under your clothes, book a wonderful Back-Facial today!

Before you run to the doctor, have a back facial, it cleanses, tones, exfoliates, massages (please don’t expect a deep tissue or a swedish one), masks, and moisturizes your back and shoulders. A series of back facials may help your skin circulation by banishing blemishes.

Extraction may be beneficial if properly performed, combined with a great home-care regimen, skin improvements can be seen within a few weeks. If you work out, have a back up shirt to change into, this will prevent further breakouts or irritation of an existing one. Depending on the skin condition, back massages may be avoided for some time, because it stimulates oil glands and can clog pores all over again, always consult with a professional first and if the problem is persistent, seek medical advice.

Many reasons contribute to shoulders and back acne, one of them being the constant scratching of pimples, which bacteria may spread to clear pores, resulting in more breakouts and irritation. Using calming agents such as lavender mixed with eucalyptus can sooth the skin, leaving you refreshed and clean.

Gender, ethnicity, nor age make a difference, treat yourself to a delightful back facial, and improve your all over body complexion as well! With Father’s Day fast approaching, go ahead and purchase your loved one a certificate for this heavenly service, what a great gift idea!!!

Beautiful Hands

Treasure your hands

Skin care goes beyond the face, our hands are often neglected in treatments. The primary focus in product selection is the face and neck, leaving our hands out of the loop … our poor hands, they are the reason we can function, they also need to be pampered, let’s show them love by cleansing, exfoliating and protecting them from the sun, not to mention moisturizing day and night.

Skin care goes beyond the face, our hands are often neglected in treatments. The primary focus in product selection is the face, leaving our hands out of the loop … our poor hands, they too need pampering! Let’s show them love by cleansing, exfoliating and protecting them from the sun, not to mention moisturizing them daily.

Starting this week, take 5 minutes, cherish and appreciate your hands, cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize them! If you bite or pick your nails, stop now, you may develop an infection. Choose products containing plant oils, considering they nourish your skin, and are absorbed into the epidermis faster than mineral oils.

Home-made hand scrubs

Mix 2 tablespoon of sea salt with 2 tablespoon of olive oil. Grab a handful and massage all over hands, concentrating on your fingers and knuckles for 5 minutes, rinse off with warm water. Your hands may feel invigorated and soft again!

Mix a tablespoon of almond or peach kernel oil with 1 tablespoon of sugar and massage your hands with it; great for circulation, leaving your digits blissfully soft!

Masking hands

This step is simple, when you mask your face and neck, simply apply the product to your hands as well! Amazing results!

Moisturize

We all follow a skin regimen before bed, don’t forget to moisturize your hands as well. Once a week,  and wear emollient saturated gloves overnight, this trick will help the moisturizer penetrate into the pores and may begin healing cracked hands.

Sun Protection

Sun exposure ages skin as well as our hands, meaning wrinkles and brown spots! Use a minimum of SPF 15, this may prevent these pesky blemishes, when applying sunscreen to your face, take the time to extend it to your hands also!

Hand treatment is another step to optimal skin care, it’s never too late to begin, let’s begin today!!!

Pure Healing

Fighting germs organically?

Nature offers many antiseptics, we can benefit from them and heal common health problems with a little help . Every household should have tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract handy, they are the most powerful natural disinfectants on earth.

Tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract

Tea tree was discovered in Australia, there are tea trees in other parts of the world, but Australian trees are more concentrated in oils. Tea tree is considered very safe, like anything else, please use caution when using this product, never use full strength oil on infants, children or pets, always dilute it first, if eye contact occurs, rinse throughly with cold water, if accidental ingestion , do not induce vomiting, drink large amounts of water, and, if available, take activated charcoal tablets to absorb the oil within the stomach.

The seeds in grapefruit kill germs on contact, new to the health industry, holistic practitioners are beginning to use it as natural antibiotic and immune system booster, it may be used topically and/or internally. Again, use caution while using products containing grapefruit seed extract, long-term use may disrupt intestinal balance, try limiting intake to 4-6 weeks, please consult with your local holistic physician for optimal results.

  • Are your muscles aching? Do the feel tired? Massage oils containing tea tree soothe and heal the body, and reenergize you, try it next time.
  • Morning breath? Cleanse your mouth with tea tree or grapefruit seed extract, dilute a few drops of oil in 6 ounces of water, then rinse! This works great in treating gingivitis as well.
  • Tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract kill fungi on contact; nail fungus, athlete’s foot and jock itch can be treated with them by soaking affected area in water with either one of the antiseptics, then make sure the skin surface is dried well, wear socks, or clean underwear.

Safe to use on doors, telephones, counters, bathrooms, shower curtains, moldy walls, trash cans, humidifier, spray into air ducts and filters, and the air (instead of lysol).
  • Chronic ear infections are the leading cause of antibiotics prescription in children, and myringonotomy (small incision of eardrum where excess fluid is drained, with insertion of tympanostomy tube, to keep the middle ear aerated for a prolonged period of time). Tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract are proven ear infection warriors, by placing a few drops in each ear a few times a day, it will clear infection and heal the eardrum, however if you’re not comfortable diluting and preparing the drops for the child (completely understandable, considering you may be tired and lack time) check out this site, you can buy the drops already made www.imhotepinc.com/product1.html
  • Acne can be helped, simply add a few drops of tea tree oil or grapefruit seed extract to shampoos, conditioners and face wash, for spot treatment apply full strength tea tree oil to blemishes 2 times a day, leave to dry.

Quick and easy fixes

Let’s take 5 minutes to a healthier look!

A busy lifestyle should not interfere with our health nor our looks, but unfortunately it does!

Most of us feel our everyday obligations like  work, school, kids, finances or health, are priority over our needs, including our own personal time . By neglecting our inner needs, we are committing personal fraud! How can we care for others when we don’t care or listen to our personal necessities? What if starting right now we cater to ourselves as well?  Is it selfish? Is it right to take an extra 5 minutes when so much needs to be done?  Guess what?  YES, it’s ok! Let’s take our well deserved 5 minutes!

Together, let’s cherish who we are, with a few steps towards a healthier, happier, and radiant you! Boost self-esteem, raise confidence, and promote harmony all around you, your family and friends!!!

VITAMINS

Vitamins C, E, and calcium are important for the skin, improvements from within are beneficial and may prevent premature aging.

LIPS

Men or women suffer from cracked and chapped lips, honey is a natural moisturizer, spread it over your lips, and place a plastic wrap cut to size to cover them, leave for 5 minutes then remove. Your lips may feel soft and healthy again!

COFFEE AND CELLULITE

Did you know coffee may get rid of cellulite? After your morning coffee, take the used grounds to the shower, in a circular motion rub them into problem areas, they work as a body exfoliator to get rid of cellulite.

MEDITATION  CLEARS THE MIND AND HEADACHES

Headaches and migraines are triggered by several factors, food sensitivity being number one, and stress number two. If you are eating three healthy meals a day, which keeps blood sugar levels balanced, and you find yourself with a massive headache due to stress, take five minutes and meditate. You may want to try this technique before you take medication; close your eyes and gently shift awareness towards your breathing, as you inhale feel the oxygen cleansing your mind, body and inner soul, as you exhale, feel all negativity and impure thoughts leaving your entity, repeat the breathing exercise. As you find yourself focused in the breathing, allow positive energy flow through you, which may clear your mind from any pain.

FLOWER POWER FOR MEMORY

Flowers are beautiful, they can also be helpful, did you know there are three particular kind that may help memory loss? If you are easily distracted, why not boost up the mind? Visit your local health food store and buy Rosemary, Madia, and Shasta Daisy oil, 3 drops of each 3 times a day; combining them is ideal for memory augmentation and focus.

STOMACH ACID BALANCING

Healthy absorption of nutrients means keeping stomach acid levels high enough, many times we rush and we compromise our meals in order to keep our everyday life in order; apple-cider vinegar is a natural healer/balancer, add 1 tablespoon to 8 ounces of water and drink at the beginning of each meal, it raises stomach acid levels and cleanses your body from within, you may see improvements in your hair, skin and nails, not to mention better digestion.
