Organic is vibrant well-being

Fruits and vegetables are imperative for our well-being, before antibiotics, our ancestors relied upon Mother Nature for effective and safe remedies. Healthy skin is achieved from within, I would like to share a few recipe treatments using of my favorite healing foods.

Benefits of Pineapples

  • Speeds up tissue repair;
  • Protects bones;
  • Energizing;
  • Immunity booster.

Pineapples are rich in vitamin C, manganese, and bromelain. If your skin is dry, soak it in warm water for 10 minutes, cut a piece of pineapple peel and place it flesh-side down on the area, (miracle worker for dry heels), you may secure it with ace bandages, leave over night. When removing the dressing, gently peel it back, soak the area in warm water for 5 minutes, and dry. You may repeat this up to 3 nights, resulting in amazingly soft skin!Reduces inflammationPumpkin Seeds

  • Promotes prostate health;
  • Fights fatigue;
  • Aids memory;
  • Helps skin complexion.

What a great snack! Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc, iron, protein, omega-3 fatty acids, and B-complex vitamins. Excellent snack, easy to carry around and super healthy!

Slippery Elm

Soothes digestive tract
Eases colic
Soothes sore throat
Calms irritated skin
Slippery elm is a soothing herb, used internally may help prevent digestive problems, crohn’s disease, and colitis. Used topically, slippery elm soothes wounds, burns, itchy and irritated skin. Cleanse the skin, then apply this soothing magical herb to the area and leave for 5 minutes, repeat as needed.

  • First-class protein;
  • Strengthens bones;
  • Rich in calcium;
  • Milk does the body and skin good!

Full of calcium, vitamin-B, iron and zinc, some studies have shown it may be good for the brain, nourishes the skin, reduces liver’s production of cholesterol and lowers blood pressure. How about a milk & honey bath lotion? Simply add half a cup of milk, 2 eggs, 3 tbls oil, 2 tsp honey, 2 tsp organic shampoo and 1 tbsp vodka in a bowl, mix together and pour in a glass bottle. You may add 3-4 tablespoons to bath water. (Keep the home-made lotion in the fridge, and use within 3-5 days)

Tea Tree

  • Antifungal;
  • Antiseptic;
  • Treats skin infections;
  • Used for oral infections.

Tea tree is an effective remedy for a brad range of ailments, especially fungal and skin problems like acne, insect bites, athlete’s foot, yeast infections, ringworm, sore throats, may help combat gum disease, and useful for colds. Tea tree skin wash is amazing, make your own! 1 tsp dried or 2 tsp fresh tea tree leaves and 1 cup of freshly boiled water. Steep the herbs in water for 10 minutes, then strain.
